Winter Wren
At night, usually in winter, winter wrens often roost true to its scientific name Troglodytes hiemalis which means ‘cave dweller’. They roost in dark retreats, snug holes and even old nests. In hard weather it may do so in parties, gathered together for warmth. Probably my favorite songbird as they are rather bold around humans and easily observed.
